• River District Farmers Market Moves to the Shade for Summer Months and Adds Healthy Living Programs

For the warmer summer months, the market will return to its former site under the U.S. 41 bridge at Centennial Park. Vendors begin setting up at 7 a.m. with everyone in place by 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

This summer Local Roots is introducing healthy living programs including yoga, fitness classes, gardening programs among others. Specific details will be posted throughout the summer on the River District Farmers Market Facebook page.

Beginning Thursday, May 18th David Anderson from SoniYoga will be offering a yoga class in conjunction with the market. The one-hour, all levels class is open to the public and will begin at 10 a.m. It will be held on the grass just to the side of the market and under the trees towards the marina. The charge is $10 per person, cash only.
